Rust constructed what was at the time the largest recovery boiler in the world. The boiler processes 5.4 million pounds of black liquor per day to produce 883,000 pounds per hour of steam at 1,250 psig/900°F, which feeds a 47 megawatt GE turbine generator. Project completed without a single weld reject.
